Mrs. Maggie Burdette
Maggie Burdette has worked in public education for 24 years – the past 18 as a school administrator. She joined the Columbus Tustin Family in 2015, after having worked as the assistant principal at Beckman High School for two years.
Prior to joining Tustin Unified, Maggie was a middle school assistant principal in the Capistrano Unified School District. She also was a science teacher, activities director and member of a leadership team that opened a new K-8 school in Capistrano. Maggie began her career in TUSD as a middle school science teacher and department chair at Currie Middle School.
Maggie has a bachelor’s degree in biology/liberal arts and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction/instructional leadership from Concordia University in Irvine. She has been married to her husband Steve for the past 26 years and they have two sons, one a freshman and the other a junior in high school. Her hobbies include riding dirt bikes, wake surfing/boarding, camping and fishing.
